FULL-TIME: AIRPORT POLICE OFFICER

Job description and minimum requirements:        

High school graduate or equivalent, certified as a Peace Officer by the State of Texas, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Starting salary: TBD. The position shall remain open until filled.

The successful applicant must pass a security background investigation, a physical and drug/alcohol screening, an agility test, and a psychological evaluation.

Computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Bilingual – Spanish preferred. Shift work schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Comprehensive benefit package.

Valley International Airport is seeking an individual to fill the Custodian position. The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties in the care and cleaning of the Airport Terminal Building and other areas. Duties may include physically strenuous activities. Knowledge of cleaning procedures, as well as the use of cleaning materials and equipment, is preferred. BILINGUAL. Must have a valid driver’s license. Work schedule will be on a rotating basis, including weekends, nights, and holidays. The successful applicant must be able to pass a security background investigation, a physical examination, and a drug/alcohol screening test. The current starting range is $12.62 per hour, plus a benefit package.

REPRESENTATIVE FOR TICKET COUNTER AND RAMP

AIRLINE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE FOR TICKET COUNTER AND RAMP

responsible for passenger check-in at the ticket counter, issuing boarding passes,
assisting passengers with mobility equipment, checking baggage, and answering
inquiries. RAMP AGENT – responsible for loading and unloading bags, aircraft cleaning,
and marshaling. Other ramp duties as required. To be considered for this position, you
must be at least 18 years of age, able to lift 60 pounds routinely, and able to work late
evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be a U.S. citizen; possess a driver’s license. The
position will remain open until filled. The successful applicant must pass a security
background investigation, which includes FBI fingerprints and criminal history checks, a
pre-employment drug/alcohol test, a physical agility test, and in-house training. Current
starting range: $11.85/per hour.

Airport Maintenance Worker I (full-time)

 Valley International Airport is seeking an individual to fill a position in its
Maintenance Department. An employee in this class performs semi-skilled to skilled manual work in
construction, maintenance, landscaping, and service activities. May also perform duties in a lead worker
role and operate light to heavy motorized equipment. The successful applicant will perform advanced
laboring tasks that require skills or specialized knowledge acquired through training or work experience.
Experience in general labor work, experience operating assigned equipment, and sufficient education
to read and write are required. Employee may be required to work weekends, occasional overtime, and
be available for callbacks. The Successful applicant must pass a security background investigation,
physical, and agility test, and an alcohol and drug screening test. Employment background checks and
personal references will be conducted. Starting pay rate: $14.52, including a benefit package. Position
shall remain open until filled.
