Valley International Airport
(HRL), located in Harlingen, Texas, is the largest airport in the Rio Grande
Valley, serving 1,200,000 passengers annually (2024). Southwest Airlines offers
nonstop service to Austin, Houston, and Dallas. United Airlines offers nonstop
service to Houston, Chicago, and Denver; American Airlines offers nonstop
service to Dallas and Chicago; Delta Air Lines offers service between Harlingen
and Minneapolis/St. Paul and Sun Country Airlines service between Harlingen and
Minneapolis/St. Paul and Cancun.
Valley International Airport has the longest runway in the Rio Grande Valley, Runway 17R/35L, which measures 8,300 feet. General Aviation facilities are located on the east side of the airport.
